Earlier this month Chrysler Group LLC laid out a five year growth plan for their brand. This plan introduces five new/refreshed vehicles and sets a sales target of 800,000 units by 2018. Chrysler CEO Al Gardner said “The Chrysler brand is not luxury – it’s not premium. Chrysler vehicles are the mainstream American brand,” This five year plan is an exciting announcement. Let’s see what this plan will encompass.

The first vehicle on the horizon is a completely refreshed Chrysler 300. This will premiere at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. The Chrysler 300 has been a staple in the vehicles fleet, so we look forward to hearing more details.

In 2016, we will see two of the vehicles premiere. The first is the Chrysler 100. This is a C-segment vehicle and will be a key element for Chrysler growth. The other vehicle that will be launched in 2016 is a brand new Chrysler Town & Country. This vehicle will include a plug-in hybrid model that will receive 75 miles per gallon which will make it the most fuel efficient minivan on the market.

After releasing these two vehicles in 2016 the Chrysler brand will turn their attention to the Chrysler 200 to be released in 2017, and in 2018 ,there will be a debut of a midsize CUV. There aren’t as many details on these vehicles, but we will keep you up-to-speed as the date approaches.
