Dodge just released their newest test car – the 2015 Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak test car. Keep reading for more details.
The 2015 Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak test car was shown off at the National Hot Rod Association U.S. Nationals event in Indianapolis, IN at the end of August. Those attending the Thursday evening Mopar Racers’ Reception got a sneak peak of everything this vehicle will offer.
First and foremost, the engine powering this vehicle is a 7.0-liter Hemi Race V8 engine. This engine is combined with a 727 automatic transmission with a racing style shift lever, integral line lock and aluminum driveshaft.
To make sure all drivers are safe, Mopar added a full roll cage, rubber front and back, along with 28×4.5-inch tires in the front and 30×9-inch tires in the back. Also in the back is a bulletproof fare, solid rear axle, adjustable shocks and anti-sway bar. There is a weigh box in the trunk and a trunk mounted 12 volt battery.
Inside the vehicle you will find lightweight racing seats, Mopar gauges, safety nets and five point harnesses.
