Jeep® is excited to announce that they walked away with five awards at the Texas Truck Rodeo hosted by the Texas Auto Writers Association. The Rodeo consists of two days filled with test on and off the road. There are 69 Texas Auto Writers Association members who test drove and voted on the best performing vehicles. When voting the members consider the exterior styling, interior styling, off-road capability including utility, value and performance.
The 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee won in the Mid-Size SUV segment and the Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit won the Mid-Size Luxury SUV. The Compact SUV segment was won by the 2016 Jeep Cherokee. In the Off-Road Utility Vehicle segment the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited won. And the 2015 Jeep Renegade won the Compact Crossover Utility Vehicle segment.
“The Truck Rodeo was extremely competitive this year with a record number of media and vehicle entries, so it’s impressive that the FCA brands received top awards in numerous categories,” Michael Marrs, TAWA president, said. “The Jeep brand SUVs continue to be favorites among TAWA voters, as every Jeep SUV won its category again this year.”
