Here at Jake Sweeney Chrysler Dodge Jeep® RAM, August is one of our favorite times of the year, because this is when the new models of all our favorite FCA US LLC vehicles begin to hit our lot. We’re highly anticipating the arrival of new SUVs, sedans, and pickups, and we already have one new arrival, which also happens to be a brand-new model: the 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The first-ever Jeep pickup truck, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator, boasts an impressive blend of capability, versatility, and comfort.
The 2020 Jeep Gladiator is a four-door, five-passenger pickup truck with an all-new high-strength steel frame, heavy-duty axles, new coil rear suspension, and the largest brakes in its class. Under the hood is a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine, which puts out 285 horsepower and a maximum torque of 260 lb-ft. This beast allows the truck to be able to tow up to 7,650 pounds and carry up to 1,600 pounds in its payload, which are both best-in-class numbers.
Because the pickup truck is manufactured by Jeep, drivers are treated to the only Trail Rated pickup truck ever. With standard heavy-duty Dana 44 axles, skid plates, and tow hooks, every version of the pickup truck wears the Trail Rated badge and delivers incredible off-road capability. The standard 4×4 system ensures that your tires have the correct amount of traction when you’re traversing uneven terrain, and Rubicon models of the pickup get up 11.1 inches of ground clearance between the underside and the terrain, allowing you to drive over obstacles without any underbody damage.
To get a glimpse of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator for yourself, give it a spin here at our dealership. We look forward to detailing all the advanced features of this off-road-ready pickup truck.
