Happy New Year all! We are excited to announce that the end 2014 was a success for the FCA US LLC brands. Sales numbers for the month of December and the entire year were recently released. Keep reading for more information on how FCA US LLC as a whole and the individual models did last year.
The final sales number for the year was just over 2 million units. Selling this many vehicles was not only exciting but it is the best full-year sales since 2006. When compared to 2013, sales are up 16 percent.
During the month of December FCA US LLC sold a total of 193,261 units, which is a 20 percent increase when compared to December 2013. This also made it the 57th consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains.
One of the FCA US LLC brands that we will highlight this month is Dodge. Dodge had a strong month and year! The Dodge Challenger increased its sales by 72 percent, which is the largest sales gain of any of the Dodge vehicles this month. Three Dodge vehicles posted their best annual sales in 2014: The Dodge Dart, the Dodge Challenger and the Dodge Journey.
“Our best December sales in a decade pushed our full-year sales over the 2-million unit threshold for our best annual sales since 2006,” said Reid Bigland, Head of U.S. Sales. “Last year marked our fifth consecutive year of annual sales growth in the U.S., and once again, we were the fastest-growing automaker in the country.”
