Last month we reported fantastic September sales. Well, October was no different. In the month of October the Chrysler group sold 170,480 units making it the best October sales since 2001. When compared to October 2013 sales, that is a 22 percent increase. This is the 55th consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains. Dodge vehicles did very well this month: the Dodge Challenger, the Dodge Dart and the Dodge Journey each had their best ever October sales. The Dodge Dart did the best overall increasing its sales by 28 percent. The Dodge Challenger increased its sales by 27 percent. This was attributed to a new Dodge Challenger Lineup that premiered for the 2015 model. This includes the SRT, SXT, R/T, R/T Scat Pack and SRT 392 models. Dodge heavily promoted the all-new 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat in the months leading up to its release. They started taking orders last month and received more than 4,000 orders!
The Dodge Journey also increased its sales by 9 percent and recorded its best over October sales. Last but not least, the Dodge Viper increased its sales by 16 percent in October.
