FCA US LLC is excited to announce that they have made a huge investment into their Chrysler Technology Center. The amount is a whopping $2.5 million and will be used to add a new 4×4 dyno in drive cell for rain and snow testing. Keep reading for more information!

FCA US headquarters has built the Chrysler Technology Center to make sure the vehicles they are producing are top of the line. This investment will improve the current climate test cell. The cell can simulate extreme hot and cold – both of which are tough on vehicles and therefore FCA US LLC wants to know how their vehicles will withstand and how they can improve performance in these conditions. The cell will receive a new front dyno that can handle up to 350 horsepower with a rear dyno operating up to 650 horsepower. The ductwork and exhaust capabilities have also been significantly upgraded to accommodate high-output engines such as the 2016 RAM 2500 6.7-liter Cummins High-Output Turbo Diesel that tops the segment with 900 lb-ft. of torque.

“Our world-class environmental test center provides dynamic and static testing conditions to simulate the climatic environments that are experienced by our customers around the world,” said John Nigro, Vice President-Product Development, FCA-North America. “With more 4×4 and all-wheel-drive (AWD) vehicles in our fleet than ever, this investment will go a long way to providing the durable cars and trucks our customers expect from us.”
