The end of June marks the halfway point for the year and coincidentally it also marked a great sales month for FCA US LLC. They sold 185,035 units, increasing 8 percent compared to June 2014 when they sold 171,086 units and making it the best June sales since 2006. Many vehicles set records this month (seven to be exact) and a few new vehicles arrived on lots – all ingredients to make for a successful month. The sales of Jeep brand vehicles increased 25 percent and we celebrated its 21st consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains as well as the best June sales ever. The Jeep Wrangler with a 17 percent increase, the 2015 Jeep Cherokee with a 39 percent increase and the Jeep Patriot with a 41 percent increase, all posted their best June sales ever.
During the month of June the Jeep Wrangler was named the winner of the Edmunds.com 2015 Best Retained Value Awards in the Midsize Traditional SUV segment – a prestigious honor. We could attribute a lot of Jeep Wrangler sales this month to that award.
“June represented another strong month for our company with sales up 8 percent and our 63rd-consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases,” said Reid Bigland, Head of U.S. Sales. “Our all-new Jeep Renegade inventory started to arrive at dealerships in greater volume during June positioning us well for the summer-selling season.”
