Consumer Guide Automotive editors examine more than 150 vehicles before deciding which vehicles to honor. One of the vehicles that was honored was the 2016 Dodge Durango. For the fourth consecutive year it won in the Large SUV segment. This vehicle is one tough cookie! It is packed with power and technology. It can tow up to 7,400 lbs with the HEMI V8 engine – which is a class-leading tow capacity. Dodge added an Engine Stop-Start technology or the 2016 model year. This saves fuel as well as lowers emissions, and is standard on Dodge Durango Models with the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. Also new for the 2016 model year are things like new standard wheels, upgrades to the Uconnect system, new exterior appearance packages, Radar Red interior color, four new exterior paint colors which include Velvet Red, Light Brownstone, Luxury Brown and Ivory Pearl Tri-Coat, and an available Beats Premium Audio System.
