It was recently announced that Chrysler launched a new multicultural marketing campaign for the 2015 Chrysler 200. The campaign features actor Gael Garcia Bernal of the Motorcycle Diaries and Y Tu Mama Tambien. Keep reading for more information about this collaboration.

The new campaign is made up of four commercials – one :60 spot and three :30 commercials – as well as digital and social media initiatives. Chrysler has partnered with Univision and Telemundo to premiere the campaign. Chrysler is the presenting sponsor of the number one family show La Voz Kids.

The first spot is called “Kid, You’re Not Me”. In this spot Gael climbs into his new 2015 Chrysler 200 to find a young boy claiming to be Gael from the past. Gael soon realizes that the little boy is instead his neighbor’s past self. He convinces his neighbor to abandon the ordinary and come with him in his Chrysler 200.

“This campaign’s unique creative uses humor, cultural cues and the spirit of individuality to capture our millennial audience’s attention, and its charm rests squarely on the enormous appeal of Gael, one of the premier Hispanic actors of his generation,” said Olivier Francois, Chief Marketing Officer, FCA – Global. “The episodic storyline focuses on Gael and Paquito’s endearing relationship while at the same time authentically introduces consumers to the 2015 Chrysler 200 and its class-leading features, including smart technology, advanced manufacturing and quality, and distinctive design.”
