Over the past few weeks we have talked a lot about the Chrysler Group and their updates to a certain SRT model. However, that’s not the only SRT vehicle receiving updates for the 2015 model year. We’re talking about the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. Keep reading for more information about what you can expect from this vehicle.
First and foremost, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT is getting a boost in power. Both the horsepower and torque have been increased by five, bringing horsepower to 475 and lb-ft to 470. This is with both the 6.4-liter engine and the eight-speed automatic transmission.
Jeep has also add a new standard feature on all vehicles called the Active Noise Canceling system. This system will give you just enough of the outside noise (mainly the exhaust that SRT is known for) with just enough noise canceling inside. Jeep uses four microphones about the vehicle and the stereo system to nullify external sounds.
And last but not least the final big change is the new Red Vapor package. This package will add three different exterior colors; Red Pearl Clear Coat, Brilliant Black Crystal Pearl Coat and Bright White Clear Coat. The package will also add black badges around the SUV, parts of the upper and lower grille are replaced with eye-catching black pieces and the wheels are upgraded to 20-inch wheels in black chrome with bright center caps.
