The Chrysler brand is excited to announce that the 2017 Chrysler 200 with front-wheel drive has earned a five-star overall safety rating from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration also gave the 2017 Chrysler 200 five-star ratings in the following crash tests: front collision, side-impact in a two-vehicle collision, and side-impact in a single-vehicle collision with a pole or tree.
“The Chrysler 200 remains an outstanding value for many reasons, most notably its superior performance in various safety tests,” says Bruce Velisek, Director – Chrysler brand marketing, FCA US.
This vehicle comes with more than 60 available safety and security features including full-speed Forward Collision Warning-Plus. Standard safety features on the 2017 Chrysler 200 include traction and stability control, antilock brakes, front side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and front knee airbags. The 2017 Chrysler 200 is made up of more than 60 percent high-strength steel helping the vehicle maintain its structure in a crash, therefore mitigating the damage of the crash.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration isn’t the only organization recognizing the 2017 Chrysler 200 for its top safety performance. This vehicle recently earned the Top Safety Pick+ rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
